We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment and possess strong welding knowledge. This role requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and a solid understanding of quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Perform inspections and testing of products and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting areas of improvement and recommending solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with production teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding of quality requirements and standards.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to understand product requirements.
- Apply welding knowledge to assess the quality of welded joints and components.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Recommend and implement quality control improvements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Technician role or 5 years in a manufacturing production environment.
- Welding knowledge and experience are essential.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods is preferred.
- ISO Auditor experience is preferred.
- ASQ certifications (such as Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Inspector) are preferred.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
